Resolve

I ran across my '07 resolutions, and realized I managed to accomplish 3-1/2 out of the 7 items. So much for posting them online, I don't think I looked at them after Feb/Mar.

I am still a workaholic, I still haven't had a real vacation, although I tried to come up with a weight loss/work-out regimen--I managed to gain 11 pounds, I did spend some time with my horses--until my knee injury shot the last portion of the year. So now it's 2008 and my resolutions need a bit of reviewing. This year I'll try for eight and hopefully will have better luck!
  1. Loose weight so I can fit in my skinny pants and THROW OUT my fat clothes! (If I get pregnant then I'll just have to buy some maternity wear.)

  2. Stop working so hard--get out of the office for lunch every day! Limit (or better yet, eliminate) the unpaid time spent working after hours.

  3. Get my knee better so I can start horseback riding again--in between IVF cycles.

  4. Travel! (Relative visits do not count!) Visit my friends in Ventura! Go on a cruise, go to a B&B now and then, and ideally check out Europe/Italy once I reach my goal weight!

  5. Look into purchasing a home or buying a lot and building--and actually do it!

  6. Go to the Midwest and visit our families and friends. --When it's warm!

  7. Focus more on me and stop worrying about what others-especially family-think.

  8. Have fun!

Hopefully I'll get more than 1/2 accomplished this year!

'07 Resolutions

This year I've decided to make resolutions, and try to have them be reasonably obtainable. I figure if I put them on-line I might be able to keep them, so here I go...
  1. Do not gain weight--unless I get pregnant. (Weight loss is an added bonus.)
  2. Work on not working all the time! (Find time to do things non-work related.)
  3. Spend time with my horses. (Better yet, figure out a way to have them in my back yard.)
  4. Travel! (It's been WAY too long since we've had a vacation! My goal is to start out small and go somewhere at least once a month and shoot for a real vacation before '08.)
  5. Make time for family and friends. (You might think this would be easy! But it hasn't been lately.)
  6. Do something new to improve our quality 0f life at least once a month. (Home improvements, gardening/improving our outdoor spaces, hire someone to help clean the house so we can do other things...I can think of a bunch.)
  7. Spend $ on me--and not feel guilty. (I started that today.) :-)

Simple enough, but I figure it's a good start.
