Free Lunch

Well, not exactly free, but my husband doesn't need to leave work to buy lunch now. Every morning I make him lunch and include something fresh from the garden. I figure it's the least I can do until I am employed again.

Perhaps I will be able to find a job that lets me do both.

(Work and still have the time and energy to make lunches and take care of the house.) That would be so wonderful!!!

Today was my last day at work.

Here's hoping that my next endeavour will be not only profitable but personally rewarding!

Wish me luck!

Sunshowers

My mom sent out some sunflower seeds at Easter this year. Last year the squirrels dug up our seeds before they ever had a chance. This year I planted the seeds amongst our bean row, and for whatever reason, they actually left them alone.

I love the large heads of the sunflowers and how they droop like a shower head. The plants range from 10 to 12+ feet high, and are definitely tall enough for a sunflower shower.

Wouldn't that make a cool outdoor shower? A bronze sunflower head, with leaves (soap holders) and a stalk... even a small one would be cute!

It has been fun looking out of our window to see the sunflowers in bloom. It reminds me of what's good in life, sunshine, flowers, and fresh air.

Could I have an Avatar?

Summer is flying by, and I've not been the best about blogging. Part of the reason is my computer is on it's last leg, and I'm trying to eek out whatever life it has left without burning up the hard drive. (until I can acquire a new one)

The other is I just haven't felt much like chatting. I usually send letters out to my friends in the mid-west, and haven't done much of that lately either.

I watched Avatar for the first time last night and really liked the movie. I also liked the idea of how "Jakesully" ended up in a whole new life. He went from being paraplegic to an Avatar. He ended up with great legs, a girlfriend, and new sense of purpose.

I would like an Avatar. One that is thinner, has a great job, and that can have children. (or at least be a mother) Is that too much to ask?
