Mid-May!

My laptop is sick, and I've been researching getting another one.  The one I like is EXPENSIVE (around 2k)!  I want to try it out before I buy it... but am afraid if I do try it, I'll fall in love and have to buy it.  (I'm trying to eek my current one out as long as possible.) I would get  a Mac, but don't want to have to purchase and transfer all of my PC related software over...  Especially since I'm still looking for a job!

Since I'm unemployed... and haven't been busy on this site.
  1. I've been busy updating my garden/photo blog.  (More so when my computer wasn't broken.)
  2. I've been working on the garden and our ever growing yard.
  3. I've been sending in resumes like crazy.  (I'm trying not to tell Tim about all of them so he doesn't get as depressed as I do when I don't hear anything positive.)
  4. I've been wasting my time looking at adoption sites even though we aren't adopting.
  5. I fell in love with Weeds, and Raising Hope thanks to Netflix and Hulu.  (I'm seriously considering getting rid of the Dish since there is NOTHING on it!)
  6. I've been trying to clean house, but find it difficult to keep up with the cats and husband clutter.
  7. Halo and BioShock are becoming my best friends.
  8. I'm trying not go get too down when the resumes I send in don't end up going anywhere.
  9. I got my toenails done, and they even put flowers on them!  (Surprisingly cute!)
  10. I've slowly been working on projects around the house... if only I had a job so the budget for projects matched all of my extra time!
  11. I've been trying to stay positive about life, the universe, and everything.
  12. I lost a bunch of weight, and then gained some back, and then lost it again.  Then it came back again, and am now loosing it AGAIN, and really wish it were easier to just be skinny.
I also found out that Martha Stewart is a grandma thanks to a surrogate.  Very cool... and since her daughter was 45 when this happened, for whatever reason it gave me a slim chance of hope.  (Granted I need to get an amazing job to pay the $60-100k to have a baby via surrogate, so the hope is VERY slim indeed.)

And that's about it.  If you want to see more frequent posts, let me know and I'll send you the link to my garden blog. :-)
