Double Wave...

Today was cold and rainy, and I craved a long hot soak in a bathtub. Since ours isn't really deep enough for any soaking, I searched online to see if I could find a better one to add to my wish list, and ran across this gorgeous double wave concrete tub.

Thinking it might be too cold, and wondering if I could embed a heating element, I discovered they already offered this option! Thus making it an even dreamier idea.

With a capacity of 130 gallons, it would definitely encourage soaking! (A standard 5' soaking tub holds less than 60 gallons.) Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately for Tim) it is much too large for either of our bathrooms, and even if it fit, it would likely require additional framing support to carry the weight of the tub and water. (The tub alone weighs 1800 lbs) Not to mention the plumbing required for two drains, and of course the electrical hook-up for the heating element.

Ah, but what a luxurious soak it would be!
