Your heart was dying fast and you didn't know what to do...
Well my test results came back, and the Humira did the trick. My Th1 and Th2 levels are balanced. So it likely wasn't a factor in the reason our IVF or FET didn't work.
However, my NK cells are slightly elevated at a 2. So my RE would like me to do two cycles of intralipids next time. One at the beginning of the stims and one at the transfer.
Neither of us were overjoyed with the results, as since the NK level is only slightly elevated, it seems as if we should have at least gotten a nibble. Plus, it appears I'm sick, sore throat, low grade fever, runny nose, stuffy head, cough... So something is suppressed, just not enough to result in a pregnancy. :-(
I'm almost beginning to wonder if we have a Lymphocyte Immunization Therapy (LIT) issue. Where the immune system specifically targets the husband's genes and terminates the pregnancy before it even begins. LIT consists of an introduction of the immune system to the father's genes via white blood cells injected under the skin. It hasn't been mentioned by my RE, and the treatment has been banned in the US, so even if I did have it, I wouldn't be able to do the treatment anyway.
It's hard not to get down when all of the numbers look good, regular cycles, tons of embryos, good growth, good lining, etc. and nothing takes! Not even a nibble!!! I have never seen even the faintest line on a pregnancy test. I really thought I'd at least be pregnant by 40. I hoped the test results would be more definitive... I'm beginning to wonder if having children will ever happen for us. I'm sure I'll feel better once I'm over the cold I managed to get, and listen to something cheerier than Death Cab for Cutie's, Cath... Or at least I hope so.
