Waiting...

Tuesday's transfer went well. Little "hope" not only thawed, but was hatching by the time of the transfer. The embryo even looked like a profile of a face! (They put an image of the embryo in the petri dish on the screen prior to the transfer, to show you what it looks like... it's pretty cool.)

I stayed off my feet for the required amount of time, and then went back to work on Friday. I'm taking it easy this week as well, and will have the beta test on the 16th. I'm enjoying the fact I only have to do one shot and an assortment of pills/day. Even the IM shot is waived this time. (Unfortunately, the L0venox has left some painful bruises in its wake, but icing the area before and after the shots seems to help.)

I'm hoping that it will work this time and we won't have to prep for another cycle of injections, infusions, and invasive procedures. I find it mind-numbing at how fast things progress. In less than a week we'll know if something took.

Until then, I'll continue to take it easy. I have laptop privileges now, but just not on my lap. No lifting over 20 lbs. No strenuous activity. No cleaning the litter box. No stressful situations. No wine. No caffeine. No sushi. The best part is, I'm totally happy about all the nos in my life!
