Spring Shedding

Spring is definitely here! (at least for the weekend) Just ask my horses, they're shedding like mad! The white puffs amongst the grass is fluffs of hair! Between the two of them, I ended up with enough fluff to create a pony!
Ms D is suffering from a bit of arthritis and she hates the cold weather. (Unless she's toasty warm with a blanket and leg wraps.) But now that it's warmer, she's feeling more like her old self. My palomino quarter horse is her best friend in the world, and they are practically inseparable. Hopefully I'll be able to ride my quarter horse this year without upsetting D too much.

I bought them both new riding blankets for the summer. D loves getting all "gussied up" for a ride, so I hope that she will at least be able to enjoy a bit of a stretch now and then. However, I fear her days of hunter jumper courses are over. I haven't let her in on this though, as when she was younger, I turned her out in an arena with jumps, and she flew through almost the entire course! (And thus I discovered she was quite an accomplished jumper!)
