TNT Blows

There are certain movies that for whatever reason Tim and I have never watched. Titanic was one of these. So when I saw it was on TNT I recorded it to watch later. The other night I decided to watch it. About 3 hours in at 10 pm we debated on watching the rest the next day, but opted to see it through.

We get to the scene where all the lifeboats are in the water and everyone is rushing to the front, and all of a sudden some stupid baseball game comes on! It was mid-game too! So I skipped over it, and sure enough Titanic started again, but it showed the lead character rescued! We missed the major dramatic scene in the move! We were so disgusted we didn't watch the end and went to bed. Thanks for nothing TNT!

I wonder how many people complained about that one! Almost 4 hours into the movie and they cut out one of the most important scenes. Really, why even bother showing the movie at all, or do they just assume everyone has already seen it and it was worthy of the interruption? The least they could have done was continued where they left off (or posted the movie online so we could catch the missed part). Oh well... enough ranting, I'll just have to remember not to watch movies on TNT anymore.
