Closing time...
Unfortunately, less than a week after we closed I was laid off! It was completely unexpected, and I was devastated, as I thought I was one of the core team members and would be around for the long haul. Not to mention I really liked my job.
It's funny how last month my major stresses included finding time to get everything done. (work, surprise theme birthday party for my Dad and 150 guests, purchasing a home, packing and moving, digging up plants...) Now I suddenly have tons of time... days are spent painting the new house, packing, moving, running errands, following up on the party, etc. The minus, no paid health insurance for IVF (granted most wasn't paid for anyway) or accidents, and no income for needed improvements or house payments! Needless to say, my June timing for IVF has been bumped out indefinitely.
Oh the joys of the valley I live in. But as they say, when one door closes.... another opens. I'm hoping wherever it leads to will be even better!
