Pack Rat

I was getting ready for an event this weekend, and had a western belt I used to wear when showing horses when I was 19 or so. I decided the event was the perfect time to wear the belt, and started my search for it. I looked in the garage with my ropers (western cowboy boots) but it wasn't there. I continued--under the bed, in the storage above my closet, and finally in my basket under my dresser. Success...

That was until I pulled the tiny belt out, and realized the last time I wore it was almost 20 years ago! HELLO! Although working out has been going well, I am a quite a few pounds shy of my former 27" waist! My belts didn't even fit TIM's frame. Tim's only comment was "I want the High School Suzie!" I of course mentioned I'm working on this--and he looked at me as if I was being a bit unrealistic in my goals. He also asked how many other pieces of clothing I kept from these thin days, and suggested that perhaps after 20 years I might want to go through my closet and get rid of a few things. Hopefully he won't enforce this one--better yet--hopefully I'll be back to a 27" waist again sometime soon!
