The dark side

My black cat is more than little devilish (and he is stereotypically male). I thought I would highlight some of his more "endearing" qualities here:

1. He’s gassy and loves to surprise you with silent stink bombs. (especially when you pick him up)
   
2. He's fearless yet clumsy—he jumps without thinking and then claws the rest of the way up our bedspread, lap, etc. when he realizes he mis-calculated the jump.


3. He appears to have a "beer gut" and also has a problem making it all the way up the cat tree on his first try because he is so bottom heavy. (His tail is LONG too!)


4. He loves to torment our princess kitty. He'll lick her as if grooming her, and after about 3 licks, he can't resist and BITES her! (Just like the "wise 0ld 0wl" in the 1970's t00tsie pop commercial!)


5. He digs in the litter box as if he's going to someday break through to the other side, and if it's going to be a "big one" he meows to let you know you need to be on hand for clean up.


6. He also eats like a pig, (or a lazy mourning dove) flopping down by the food bowl nose first. Once through, he tries to cover his food, as if saving it for later!


7. He LOVES being outside, he begs for you to take him out, and is a natural with the leash. (He loves attacking these onion flowers too!)
8. He attacks almost anything--including our noisy vacuum! The only thing he seems to fear is the delighted shrieks of our neighbor's 1 year old.
9. On the plus side, he is very loving and is DEVASTATED if he is left alone or can't find his cat playmate or family. Meowing pitifully until she makes her appearance.


10. He has the loudest rumbling purr when he is happy--which is often.

All-in-all he’s pretty hilarious.
