Broken Box
Our TV stopped working the week before Super Bowl Sunday. At 16 years of age, it didn't owe me anything. But now, I need to familiarize myself with new terminology... and find a replacement TV that will last another 16 years. I discovered in my research that analog TV's are to be phased out by 2009, so it looks like we'll be getting some form of flat-screen or plasma, and will probably toss in High Definition to boot. We've gone without TV for over a week now. (Other than the Super Bowl @ a friend's house) Although we don't watch tons of TV, I found the rainy days have me missing it. I've been doing way too much reading at work, so I don't feel like curling up with a good book. So tonight I decided to see if I could find a decent house in my price range online. Unfortunately those two words don't go together where I live, but it was fun to look at least.
My Anti-stress class seems to be going ok thus far. Amongst other things, this week's exercises are to live in the "now" (not thinking about the past or the future) and to practice deep breathing for 30 minutes a day. Both are much harder than they sound.
