My Aunt died on Saturday, after a 3-year battle with lymphoma. She was in remission briefly the first time, and fought hard using the latest technologies when it returned.

Amazingly she worked up until the day she died and at least outwardly never let things get her down. She continued to travel for her work, vacationed with my uncle, adored her grandchildren, and when chemo took her hair, she got her ears pierced to accent her new short wig. She was an amazingly strong and determined person. In fact, her last day was spent out and about visiting friends.

She was only 64.
