Flooded Piglet...
It's pouring and miserable out. It reminds me of the Winnie the Pooh song that goes... "The rain, rain, rain, came down, down, down, until it flooded Piglet." It's hard to get motivated to go to lunch in weather like this. Plus I'm really low on gas, and had hoped the rain and wind would let up before I ventured out. I was shocked that in the few days I was in Vegas gas prices decided to jump up, and now the cheapest gas I can find is about $2.69! It will cost around $65 to fill the truck now! Guess I'll have to get a Hybrid and start creating Smug.I had such a nice time with my Dad in Vegas, it was great to get away and just relax. Although I went through drink withdrawals when I got back! Wine for lunch, before dinner drinks, after dinner drinks, before show drinks, after show drinks, it was habit forming. But at $9 to $12/drink in most places, I just couldn't afford to stay in Vegas too long! By the end of the trip we thought a $30 bucket of beer was cheap! I actually started to wonder whatever happened to 25 cent pitchers! Now that was a deal!
I got back on Monday to find multiple piles of papers strewn across my desk, and received instructions from my boss that I can't have any more vacations, since they were lost without me! I started laughing, since I was only gone 2 1/2 days, but he said it wasn't funny. I didn't tell him Tim wants to take a 2 week vacation this year. I think I'll wait a bit on that one.
Well off to 'enjoy' the cloudy, blustery day.
