Karma update
Well, I got my ticket from the infamous Friday. They mailed it to me via certified mail, and we got it on Saturday. They didn't put my last name on the ticket! Which makes me wonder if it's even legally binding.I just received the 'courtesy notice' today, telling me what my options are... which essentially is to fork over $173.00 and then spend a day in traffic school to keep my record 'clean' and then pray I don't get pulled over for something serious in the next 18 months. Or pay $159 to forfeit the bail (which if the ticket is reportable--I'm figuring it is--then it will go on my insurance.) or pay $159 to contest it in court. I have until mid-May to decide. Oh the joys.... All because a cop thought I didn't stop long enough at a stop sign.

Hey Susie,
Walter says "Contest it! If the cop says that you stopped, then it's OK. It doesn't say how long you should stop". I can't come back for 3 years (to get the citations off the record) because of 2 tickets i got in the month before we left.
